Report a calculation issue

  • Page: the calculator name and page address.
  • Inputs: units, dimensions, openings, quantities and relevant allowance settings.
  • Product data: the manufacturer, product code and source for a dimension, weight, void volume or yield.
  • Result: what the calculator displayed and what you expected, including your calculation if available.
  • Device: the browser and device, especially if a control or download did not work.

A saved project link can make supported inputs easier to reproduce. It can also reveal those inputs to anyone who receives the link, so review it first. A screenshot may help explain a display problem, but avoid including private information.

The methodology page explains the distinction between an area equivalent, an installed schedule and an order allowance. Mention which quantity you are comparing if the issue is a difference between tools.

Product, price and project questions

You can suggest a clearer explanation, report a broken source or describe a useful calculator improvement. For current stock, delivery, product properties or a purchase quote, the relevant manufacturer or supplier is the source to contact.

Site specific design, reinforcement, stability and permit decisions require the appropriate project professional or authority. Emailing a calculator question does not provide engineering approval of a proposed structure.

Share only what the question needs

Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information, financial details or private project documents. A short set of dimensions and a public product data sheet is often enough to explain a material estimate.
